New

Its been awhile since I last blogged. Its been over 6 months actually. Since I last blogged I have moved clubs. Oregon was getting too expensive so I moved to the public Langdon Farms. Its nothing like Oregon. No dog legs and I have to pay for all the range balls. There are two good things that have come from this though. I am allowed to hit off of grass. Not right now because the weather is crappy but I will once it warms up. The second is my new teacher Bruce Furman. Bruce was the 2009 Pacific Northwest teacher of the year. He has taught many golfers that have gone on to become college golfers at D1 schools. During my break between teachers I was hitting the ball bad. What Bruce brought to my attention was that I was standing too close to the ball, had too wide of a stance, was swinging too upright, and i was moving way ahead of the ball and not getting back. It all feels so strange and my scores are reflecting that but they will go down. I played at bandon during spring break as my birthday present. It was amazing! Best birthday ever! I played all 4 courses and played Pacific twice. If you didn't know all 4 bandon courses are ranked within the top 15 courses you can play in America. Best golfing experience of my life. My favorite course was the newest one, Old Macdonald. It was a true links style course like something you would see in Scotland or Ireland. It was so different and great. I also got new Tiger Woods golf shoes. I'm looking to get some new Irons. I have gotten a new 3 wood. Titleist 910 F-D which is adjustable. I also got a new putter. Its a Cleavland Classic. It rolls so pure and my putting is amazing now. Its nickname is the cheap scotty because its only 90 bucks but it is just like the 300 dollar scotty Cameron putter. I also just got a bunch of really cool golf clothes. I feel that at this moment, my golf game will go nowhere but up. Its a really good feeling. Especially my driver. Since I last blogged I have greatly increased my distance off the tee. I'm averaging about 300 yards and am hitting almost every single fairway. Next time I blog it will be summer. This is going to be a great summer!

3 days ago I had the round of my life. I had a par on 10 and 11. Hit a bad shot on 12 that led to a bogey. Birdied 13 after I almost reached the green in 2. I parred 14. Birdied 15 after I almost reached the green in 2. Doubled 16 after a bad drive. Birdied 17 after I pitched in. And finally I bogied 18 to shoot a 37 from the blacks. My best round ever. Yesterday I just went up and practiced.

Yesterday I went up and tried to play. I had to skip to the 4th hole because my group didn't show up and there were a bunch of foursomes stuck behind a walking, junior threesome. I was good until the eigth hole where I ran into some Aholes who never let anyone through it was 2 60 year olds and they sucked. I quit after 9 it and hthe range. I hope to go up today but I have to work first.

3 days ago, when I got back from vacation, I went up and practiced for a few hours and played 16 holes. I don't know what my score was. I didn't really keep track. 2 days ago I went up and practiced. Grant told me all my weight was going to the left and thats why I was snap hooking the ball. I figured out at it was because I was standing too close to the ball and in order to clear my body I had to shift my weight forward and left. After that I started bombing my drives. We went and played after that. I stared with a bogey but made up for it on 2 with a birdie. I then went par, bogey, par, bogey. The 7th hole was an interesting hole. I snap hooked my drive behind the trees on the left. I had a low opening and was about 150 out so i hit a three quarter 7 iron. It ended up on the green 15 feet away. The put was down hill right-left and broke about 4 feet. I made the put and got probably the best birdie of my life. I was 1 over going into 9 and I got a triple bogey to shoot a 40. not my best finish. I'm going up again today.
