Another best weekend ever!
Even though I was sick Wednesday through Friday the weekend ended with a bang. Our family started by cramming into our car and heading out for Sun River. When we got there I got to golf on the south course by myself. I improved my handicap by one and had loads of fun. The next morning at eight thirty I headed out again to play the north course. This time I played with three other people. They were three guys from Salem who were really fun to play with. The guy who was driving the cart with me actually got drunk and I had to drive it the last couple holes. I played the best golf ever and improved from my previous days score by six. I hit amazing. I even made a twenty and 15 foot put. I also made my first birdie ever on the par three, 153 yard #3 hole. I thought it went in but I just sank my easy two foot put instead. Today I went and played. I played with two people who lived in crosswater. I couldn't hit to save my life today but my putting did. I made about three 15 foot puts and I didn't three put the whole day. On 18 I even got a lucky bounce off of the cart path over the bunker and fifteen feet away from the pin. I finished three over my score from my previous round. It was again, an amazing weekend.

Best Weekend Ever!!!!!
This weekend was amazing. Aside from golf, after school on Friday my friend, Sam Collin and took me to a basketball pick up game at the hoop. You go there and there is people from all over who you randomly get put with and play with for two hours. After the last shot I made, which was a pull up three over this guys face, this really tall guy who was sitting on the bench said, " White boy can shoot!''. By that time I was 17/20 at three pointers and it was really cool. Afterward when I was in the parking lot Sam's dad came over and I told him what the guy had said. He then told me that that guy was Cliff Robinson who played for the Blazers and was really good. It was to hear that a former Blazer thought I could shoot.
Saturday was just a usual, great day up at the club hitting balls. I got a lesson up there. I was flicking my wrist on my back swing and not flicking my wrist on my fore swing. I was also trying to hit the ball instead of lagging my hands behind and initiating my swing with my hips. Got my normal fish n' chips and even saw my neighbor Russ Farr, who is also a member up at the beautiful Oregon Golf Club. I told him I was going to play nine the next day at Sandelie Golf Course. He then invited me to play on the actual course. I hadn't got to play on the course because my dad was still teaching me the etiquette of the game. My dad gave me four boxes of nike golf balls that were really nice. I was ecstatic.
So at nine in the morning and after a talk with my dad about course etiquette, Russ and I were off. We hit a couple balls and putted at first. I did pretty good. Russ gave me a hint to keep my elbow in and it worked. Then at ten, we met our partners in crime and golf, Polly and Chris(who are the nicest people ever) and were off. I obviously played horrible but it was still really, really fun. Russ helped me also on some golf etiquette I hit par on ten after the best drive in the whole entire world which left me twenty feet from the green on the par four hole. Only par of the day but it was a good one. Especially after the great ten foot put I sank.
On Monday I went up to hit balls and dad said I might be able to do nine. So when I got there, I headed in to the pro shop to check if there was any tee times available since there was a tournament going on that day. Got the best tee time ever at one fifty and since it was so early I got to play 18. Met a kid up there named Jordie who Polly and Chris were going to introduce me to but I just did it myself. We hit balls together and by the time it was time to tee off he was going with me. I did better than Saturday. I made two pars instead of one and one was out of the sand trap on twelve. I struggled with putting and consistency but again it was awesome. I established a handicap of 23 after I hit ninety five. Could have easily hit 89 but the front nine wasn't my friend. Anyway, now I'm like Lebron And Jordan with 23. I hit some balls afterward and while hitting a flop shot, I learned how to spin the ball. It really was the best weekend ever.

Last Sunday I went golfing with my Grandpa at Sandelie West golf course for some nine hole golf. It was my first time playing on a course and as my dad predicted, it was a wake up call. I bogied every single hole except for one. I got a new driver which worked great. It was overall really humbling but fun. I went up again today. Didn't have any food this time. Kitchen was closed. I bombed my driver and putted great. My long and mid irons were golden but for some reason my wedges keep going way too high. I tried a lot of things to fix it. I had a great weekend. Happy Mothers Day.
