3 days ago I had the round of my life. I had a par on 10 and 11. Hit a bad shot on 12 that led to a bogey. Birdied 13 after I almost reached the green in 2. I parred 14. Birdied 15 after I almost reached the green in 2. Doubled 16 after a bad drive. Birdied 17 after I pitched in. And finally I bogied 18 to shoot a 37 from the blacks. My best round ever. Yesterday I just went up and practiced.

Yesterday I went up and tried to play. I had to skip to the 4th hole because my group didn't show up and there were a bunch of foursomes stuck behind a walking, junior threesome. I was good until the eigth hole where I ran into some Aholes who never let anyone through it was 2 60 year olds and they sucked. I quit after 9 it and hthe range. I hope to go up today but I have to work first.

3 days ago, when I got back from vacation, I went up and practiced for a few hours and played 16 holes. I don't know what my score was. I didn't really keep track. 2 days ago I went up and practiced. Grant told me all my weight was going to the left and thats why I was snap hooking the ball. I figured out at it was because I was standing too close to the ball and in order to clear my body I had to shift my weight forward and left. After that I started bombing my drives. We went and played after that. I stared with a bogey but made up for it on 2 with a birdie. I then went par, bogey, par, bogey. The 7th hole was an interesting hole. I snap hooked my drive behind the trees on the left. I had a low opening and was about 150 out so i hit a three quarter 7 iron. It ended up on the green 15 feet away. The put was down hill right-left and broke about 4 feet. I made the put and got probably the best birdie of my life. I was 1 over going into 9 and I got a triple bogey to shoot a 40. not my best finish. I'm going up again today.

4 days ago I went up the whole day and just practiced until 6 when I played 9 holes. I shot a 42 but it wasn't that dissapointing because I was playing good. 2 days ago I went up and did the same thing except I only played 4 holes before I got picked up. I was actually one under after the 13th. I'm going up today to practice. I need to get a hold of my driver.

Friday, July 9, 2010

I got a lesson today from Bob. He showed me my swing on video. What I was doing wrong was I was bringing my hands outside but the club inside so I was off the swing plane. I would get to a great position at the top but with my club face closed. I would then get ahead of my front foot and dip my head. My stance is a little wide and my grip was very strong I didn't even know it. I fixed the part of my backswing where my hands were going outside. After that I kept my head still and I got results. My chipping was good today. I can't wait for the weatherr to cool down.
Got alot to talk about. 3 days ago I played by myself until the seventh. I was only one over after 6 and then doubled 7. You could call the kid bad luck. His name is Steven and he is a freshman at CCC. He's a little nerdy. I shot a 39 on the front which is my second best score ever there. I went on to shoot 9 over on the back and shoot an 84. After the round the guy asked for my number and I didn't want to be mean. Now he's texting me alot and planning tee times for us. The next day I went up and shot a 79. My first round in the 70's in awhile. Yesterday I went up and played with Steven because he scheduled us a tee time. We only played 6 holes because it was getting hot and it was incredibly slow. I tried to go out later but my alergies were causing me to have asthma. So I mostly practiced. I have my first lesson with Bob today. He is the head pro. I wasn't liking what Matt was teaching me.

There is a swarm of bees on the 13th hole

Saturday, July 3, 2010

Yesterday I spent 12 hours at the club. I played 18 and hit the range for probably 5 hours. I shot an 83. I'm still not hitting the ball that great. I am for the majority of the time but I am having big mistakes when I make them. I think that as long as I practice as much as I am I can start improving. I'm just having trouble taking what I've learned on the range to the course.

Thursday, July 1, 2010

I went up today and just practiced. I really figured out my driver. I slowed my swing down for now because I saw something on golf channel that said the easiest way to learn something is slow. I also started going through the ball instead of hanging back which was causing me to push and fade the ball. If I keep my back swing slow I can go for more power when I want. I still haven't found a consistent groove with my irons. My chipping is getting better and my putting is getting worse. I'm not used to fast greens yet. I should get better but for now I think i;m going to stick to practicing because every time I do something good I lose it when I don't practice it enough.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Yesterday I went up and practiced. I Got my driver. It's beast. It goes ten yards further in the air than my old driver and it rolls ten yards further than my old driver. It's great. I was getting bored so I went to play at 3. I only played 5 holes because I had to go. Today I went up and was immediatly hitting every club in my bag great. I was putting great. I was even chipping great. I got a tee time at 11:40 with 3 guys whos names I have forgotten. When I got out on the course I sucked. I was fading every shot instead of drawing it like I normally do. In one day I went from a draw to a fade. I couldn't hit a fairway. I shot a front 9 42 and my struggles continued on the back where I shot an 83. I went back to the range and hit my driver for about an hour. I had it figured out but once I went back out on the course I was fading it again. I was hitting the ball great though. I parred one, bogeyed 2, almost birdied 3, birdied 4, parred 5 and 6, and then went bogey, bogey, bogey. I 3 putted 7 because I was thinking too much about the put and I was afraid to hit it too far so I left it short. My chip on 8 was too long and I hit my drive in front of trees on a side hill on 9. Not the way I wanted to finish up but I played great. On holes 3, 4, 5, and 6 my approach shots were all inside 15 feet. I'll probably get a lesson so I can figure this fade thing out.

Monday, June 28, 2010

I haven't blogged for awhile because I have had basketball non stop for the last 3 days. Before this weekend I went up a second time with bailey. I played decent and shot an 82. It wasn't a good 82 though. I don't feel like when I hit a ball I can just hit it. My swing is not grooved. The next day I went up and played with Jesse and Ryan. I started off great but finished with a 46. The worst round Ive had in months. I'm going up today and now that basketball is over almost every day.

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

On Sunday I only went up for about 4 hours so I just practiced. My shot is getting better but it isn't there yet. Yesterday I practiced for about 2 hours and tried to play but I got stuck behind a bunch of foursomes. I tried to skip ahead and I didn't see anyone for awhile but I eventually got stuck behind more foursomes. after that I had my mom pick me up. I'm going golfing with Jeremy Wetherbees brother Bailey today. It should be fun.

Saturday, June 19, 2010

Yesterday I spent the whole day golfing. I golfed 24 holes and practiced the rest. I didn't play good. My shot was still inconsistent and I was hitting the ball short. I shot an 83. Today I went up at 1 and practiced until 4. I got fit for a new driver. It's a Titleist D3 9.5 degree. I love it. It should be here sometime next week. I only played 6 holes because some guys wouldn't let me play through. I was hitting the ball great on the range and finally got my distance back. My putting and chipping is a little iffy. My 50 yard shots are money though. Yesterday I spun the ball back 5 feet from 30 yards. I spun my sand wedge off the green on 12. It's pretty cool.

Thursday, June 17, 2010

I went up for the first time in about 3 weeks. I sucked at first. I couldn't get the ball of the ground. The clubs felt heavy to me. After about an hour I got it together. My putting is still good. My chipping is great. I played 3 holes at 4 because that's all I had time for. I got par on all 3. Schools out. Finally.

Monday, May 31, 2010

on Saturday I went up the first time in a while. I knew my game would be bad but I didn't care. I played with chase and didn't even keep my score. It was fun though. I was suffering from golf withdrawl. Today I went up for 5 and a half hours before basketball. I played 9 with chase and shot a 42. It wasn't terrible. I practiced alot aafterwards and got my chipping and putting down. Especially chipping. I was on the range hitting in front of walter, an old guy who I have played with before. He doesn't know alot about golf but he told me 2 tips, keep my head back and keep my wrist open more, and it worked. I was hitting the ball 10 yards further and straight almost every time. I probably won't go up for a while because I have finals coming up. the weather is crap anyway.

Saturday, May 15, 2010

Last Sunday I went up to the club for 30 minutes and played 4 holes. I didn't really count strokes because I was rushing. On Monday I went up after school. I started par, bogey, par, bogey, par, par, par, but finished with two doubles in a row.
I had the most up and down game of my life. I decided to play from the blacks because on the range I was hitting my pitching wedge 160 yards. I hit a hybrid off the first tee because my driver is cracked and birdied the hole. Hit a hybrid off the second tee and parred. I Barely bogey the 3rd hole. I started my downfall on the 4Th hole. I hit a pitching wedge short, chipped to 3 feet and tried to be aggressive with it. I pulled it from 3 feet. I hit a great hybrid and then 7 iron on 5. I was 83 yards out with little green to work with so I tried to hit down on it and bladed it. I had a downhill lie so I bladed it again. I chipped back on and 2 putted for double bogey. I bogeyed the 6Th hole. I did so bad on 7 I didn't even finish. I went straight to the back 9. I parred 10 and 11 and barely bogeyed 12. I pulled but hit a good drive on 13 that left me with a 5 iron. I knocked it to 25 feet an made the put for my first eagle ever. I hit a great hybrid around the corner but shanked my next shot into the water and doubled that hole. I will be amazing once I get rid of the double bogeys. I hit my hybrid as far as I usually hit my driver on 15 and almost reached the green in 2 but hit down on the ball on accident. I ended up in the short, green side bunker. I got it to 7 feet and 2 putted for par. I hit another great hybrid but hit my gap wedge just short, chipped to 1 foot, and made my par. I hit an 8 iron about 185 over the green but chipped to a foot and made par. I skyed my shot on 18 but was about 167 out so I choked up on my 9 iron. I hit it to pin high and 2 putted to finish with an actually disappointing 37. If it wasn't for that stupid double on 14 I would have shot par or 1 under.

Saturday, May 8, 2010

I shot a 78 today and am actually pretty disappointed with myself. I 3 putted 4 times. The only reason I did good was because I had three birdies. I reached my first green in two at 15, which I birdied. I started on the back par, birdie, birdie, but went bogey, bogey, par, par, double, double. It was because of but putting and chipping. Didn't do either extremely well. I also bogeyed 10 which is an easy birdie hole. I wasn't confident in my driver like I was yesterday either when I shot a 39 just on the back. I was hitting my irons decent though. I'm on the verge. I can easily be shooting par right now. I'm on the verge. Ive got all summer.

Last Match

I had my last match today. I Started off bad. I started off with a bogey after I left my par put short. After that I went 5 over and was 6 over through 5. It was mostly because of my putting. Every green was different but fast. On one hole I 3 putted from 13 feet. After that I decided to take off my sweater and change my ball mark because I'm superstitious. It helped. I started off with a par. Then another par on a par 3 after I hit a good but long shot that I chipped to 3 feet. I Hit a nice hybrid and a pitching wedge to about 20 feet. I nailed the putt. I did the whole Tiger Woods snake putt thing. I started walking to the side and rose my club in the air. It was so cool. On the ninth hole I nailed my drive on a long par 4 into the wind. I still had about 195 yards out but hit a flush 5 iron just off the green about 10 feet off the green but I had a 2 feet uphill, massive breaking put. I knocked the put about 7 feet past but made the put coming back to finish with a 41. I won the tournament which is my 3rd out of the 7 I had. All I have is practice now. Next year.

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

I almost forgot. I missed a couple of days. Last friday I went up to the club and practiced. I hit balls for a couple of hours. I chipped a little. Nothing really exciting. The next day I went up with Chase. We only had a little bit of time so we played 9 and then 10, 11, 12, and up 18 which is right by 12. I started off bad. I went bogey, double, bogey, bogey, bogey. I finally parred on the 6th hole which is wierd because of all holes to get my first par of the day on, I got it on the hardest hole. I birdied 7 after I drove the corner of the lake and chipped it to 5 feet. I hit a great shot on 8 which is one of my worst holes. I parred that and went on to bogey 9 for a front 9 42. Not terrible. I started off with a bogey on ten after I drove the trees. I bogeyed 11 and 12 and finished with a par on 18 to finish 7 over through 13 holes which isn't terrible but it is nothing close to what I should be shooting. I haven't golfed for a day. I'm already daydreaming about it. Can't wait for practice.

Monday, April 26, 2010

I had a match today at Meriweather golf club. It was pouring the whole time. I putted great. I chipped and drove terribly. Even when I hit fairways I couldn't hit greens. My sand wedge was not working for me. I couldn't hit it. I was 9 over going into the last hole. I hit a great drive over the water. I hit a 60 degree about 25 feet by the hole and spun it back 20 feet and made my birdie put to finish with a 44. Not a good round. The weather didn't help either. I really had problems with my driver. I kind of figured it out by the end. I just need to experiment. I hit my hybrid really good though. I will have practice all this week and I have to work on my decision making.

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Finally

Yesterday I had a Match to see if I was on varsity. I played a good round and shot a 6 over 37. I lost but it was close the whole way. I made a 20 foot put for birdie on the eight hole. I had 3 double bogeys though. Today we had practice off so I went up to the club. The grass range is finally open. I got some pointers from another pro up there and he said the only thing that was really wrong with my swing was that my hands were closed at the top. After that I was hitting the ball great. I'm even hitting my driver great. I'm probably hitting it about 260 which is good for me. I need to hit the weights though. I'm just too skinny. I probably feel better about my swing than I ever have. In matches I'm afraid to do one thing or another and I will try to compensate for that and not do as well as I could. I really fell confident that I can swing how I am now, how I was taught, and that it will give me the results that I have been looking for. Consistency is also there. When I have been trying to compensate I have been swinging differently which has killed me. I feel good that I don't have to go and work on something 20 minutes before my round. The good thing too as that I didn't fix this by hitting balls for hours on end hitting balls. I went up there and got a pointer that was an easy fix. I am ready to shoot low. Finally. I am really excited for my next match.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Yesterday I had a great match at my home course Charbenneu. I played great. I played really good. My putting was good except for one hole because the greens at the club were airrated. I started off with a par. I hit the green on the next par three but I was 45 feet from the hole and I wasn't sure about my putting. I actually had the distance but read for way more break in the putt. I was 4 feet to the right of the hole and had a downhill put for par. I missed it and missed the put back. before then, I had never 4 putted in my life. I went on to par the next 5 hole before a stupid bogey where I tryed a flop shot over a bunker and shanked it right into the bunker. I'm lucky I'm good out of the bunker. I barley bogeyed that hole after my put lipped out. Before that, on the par 3 4th hole, I hit a great 7 iron to 7 feet. My birdie put went about as fardon as it could have before it came back up. I finished the day with a par and shot a 3 over 34. I came first out of everyone in the tournament. I have a match today to see who gets the 5th spot on varsity. Wish me luck.

Monday, April 19, 2010

I played 18 and got a lesson today. Before my lesson I went out and shot a 79. A real 79. I started off with a birdie after I bombed my drive and hit a great hybrid to about 20 yards. I hit a nice flop shot to about 4 feet and drained the put. I parred holes 2-5 and then bogied the 6th hole. I also bogied 8 and had to take a bogey on 9 because it is under construction. I finished off the front only 2 over. I actually did worse on the back. I started with three pars but bogeyed five in a row. I hit a great drive on 18 but hit my second shot fat. I was about 15 yards from the green and couldn't see the pin. I hit my chip very good but since the greens were just airrated, the ball didn't spin. I had about a 17 foot put for par. I drained it.
My lesson with Matt was great. He helped me with my driver. I haven't really got it down yet but I know what to practice. I have my home match tomorrow and can't wait.

Friday, April 16, 2010

On Monday I played Pumpkin Ridge. I started off decent with two bogeys but then tripled, dobled, and then doubled again. I was 9 over through 5. I kind of got it together on the next 4 holes. I parred them all but just barley. On Wedensday I played Glendoveer and absolutley did terrible. At that point I was on varsity. I Started off the exact same way. A double, a par, and then 3 doubles and a bogey in a row. I finished with two pars and a bogey to finish 10 over. The next day I was challenged for my varsity spot and lost because I 3 putted from a foot. Im playing horrible but today was better. I shot a 79. I played the back twice because the front wasn't open. I really need a lesson and can't wait to get one.

Saturday, April 10, 2010

When I got back from Arizona I had a match at Chahalem Glenn in Sherwood. I started off with a par after making a 10 foot put. I pushed my next drive into another fairway but hit a great shot about 30 yards from the pin and 10 feet off the green. I chipped it to about a foot and made my birdie. I hit agreat drive on my first but my second shot went to the left of the green. I couldn't see the green because I was behind a hill and I only had about 5 feet of green to work with. I hit a perfect flop to about two feet. I missed the put short and picked up the putt. I didn't know I couldnt do that. I got a triple on the hole instead of bogey or if I had made that put, par. I was so pissed at myself. On the next hole I bombed my drive, Hit a decent lay up, and hit my sand wedge to the back of the green. I had a 25 foot birdie putt which went around the cup. I missed the green on the next par 3 but chipped to about 2 feet and made my par. My tee shot was good but my second shot was shot. I didn't want to hit it too far but I ended up chunking it, chipping it on, and then 2 putting for double bogey. I hit over the green on the next par three but chipped it close again and made my par. I hooked my next drive into the rough and hit my second shot short. I hit a good chip but barley missed my par put. I drew my tee shot on the dog-leg left ninth. I hit my shot short but flopped it to about a foot and finished with a par. I ended up with a 41 that should have been a 39 or a 38. I felt really good about my game though especially because there were 40+ mile an hour winds.

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Arizona was amazing. My first round was not too good. I played the course Saguaro. I started off with two pars I hit both fairways and one green through the first two holes. On the third hole I hit a great drive to about 120 which was out of the range of my sand wedge but short of my P wedge so I hit My P Wedge a little bit too hard to the back to the green. The pin was at the front so I had a lengthy birdie putt. I nailed it. I aimed to the right but originally aimed about two feet to the left which would not have been good. After that it went downhill. After being 1 under through 3, I went 10 over through 6. I didn't even keep score on the back which I did worse on but the guy I played with said I got a 95. I haven't scored that high in forever. My next day on the other course, Cholla, was better. I didn't like that course as good as the other. My driver was giving me trouble. The only time I hit a good shot with my driver was on a hole with split fairways. On purpose I aimed far to the left and on purpose slid my hips and pushed the shot right into the right fairway. On the tenth hole I drove over the green because the yardage was wrong. I parred that hole because on the other side of the green was a bunker. I finished with an 87. I played Cholla again. I did better because I finally figured out my driver on the sixteenth. I shot an 85. My game really came together on my last round on Saguaro. Even though I started off with a double I was hitting fairways. Hitting fairways allowed me to hit greens. My chipping was also exceptionally well. I finished with an 8 over 79 on a par 71. I loved that place and hope to go back there again.

First match

My first match went terrible. I shot a 52.

Monday, March 15, 2010

On Saturday I went up with Chase, my friend who is also on the golf team. We just practiced because there was a tournament going on. We mostly practiced chipping and played KP a lot. He had to leave at 1 so I kept practicing until about 5:40 because my mom was coming at 6. I went out and played the 10th hole because I was hitting my driver well. It's a dog-leg right and I tried to aim over the trees and drive the green. I hit the perfect shot. High and drawing just sligtly. It was amazing. I hit another ball because I couldn't see the green and didn't know if it was on. I walked out to the fairway and immediatly picked up my other ball when I saw my ball 20 feet from the pin, on the green. I was so happy. My accuracy and distance was finally there. I 2 putted from there for birdie.

Thursday, March 11, 2010

I haven't blogged for 5 days of golf. I practiced on Saturday and played on Sunday. I played horrible, worse than I had been. I did do better on the back though. At golf practice on Monday we practiced just practiced but we played yesterday. I started off 2 over through 4 which was the best that I had played and was excited until 5 where I tripled and 6 where I doubled. I ended up shooting a 40 which was better than almost anyone else. Today I finally did well. Before the round, since a lot of people were gone at the boys basketball playoff game, Deeder, our coach, told us that the 3 spots for the JV tournament in St. Helens on Tuesday was decided by yesterdays scores. So I made JV. The spot goes by the week to week scores but since the closest score to the last spot, which is Ryan, was a 50, it’s pretty much permanent. My round today was great. I decided to club down a bunch so that I only had a comfortable distance out because that’s all I need. So then on the first hole I teed off with a 7 iron right into the fairway. I hit my 60 degree thin into the back bunker. I hit the shot short but on the green and then nailed my 15 foot par putt. I was 1 over through 4 and then 4 over after 8. I hit a good shot to the right of the green. I hit a great shot that checked up so much and ended about 1 inch from the pin. That finished off a great round of 35 before my match on Tuesday. I can’t wait for my match and practice this weekend.

Friday, March 5, 2010

At practice on Wedensday I shot a 38. Not my best performance but still an improvement from tuesday. My back has been killing me and was causing me to not finish so I was pushing the ball. I still saved for bogey or par when I hit a bad shot. My putting was great and my chipping was accurate but my distance was off. I'm hoping to put everything together this weekend and come back on Monday and improve again.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Worst day ever. I played my first actual 9 of tryouts. I sucked. I didn't get to warm up at all, the weather was terrible, and I don't have my swing down yet which mixed together gave me the worst golf round of my life. I sot a 44 on a par 31. I wasn't committing to what I had learned over the weekend. I only parred one hole and that was a par 3 where I hit a good shot that flew the green. I decelerated on my chip and It ended up about 15 feet from the hole on the edge of the rough and the fringe. I decide to put it and I made it. I hurt myself right off the bat when I tripled the first after I lost my tee shot. We just practice tomorrow so I'll work on it then.

I played 9 with Chase yesterday. I started off with a bogey on 1 and a par after a great drive on 2. I hit a great drive to start 3 but then right in my backswing, about 100 geese flew up and started quacking. I shanked that shot and that led to my bad round. I was so pissed. I was hitting the ball so good on the range. I was supposed to have a lesson with matt but he said I was doing everything I needed to so he just told me to practice. I really wanted to do good and that just messed with me. I was just swinging and my bad shots were just making me even more angry. I had to skip todays practice because I got invited along with Ryan to practice with the varsity basketball team. I still get to golf tomorrow because we are going to start having practice later.

Catching Up

Thursday was my first day of tryouts. I thought we would play because it was so nice out but we didn't so there's not much to talk about. Yesterday though my parents let me sleep in and then decided I had already missed enough school so they let me golf. I got up there around noon and right away got a lesson from Matt. He said I was focusing too much on bringing the club higher so I was taking it out in my first move and coming back across my body which was causing me to hook it. He had me bring the club inside and up on the right swing plain which was hard and then had me come back through hit out to my right but turning and making a big finish so that the ball would go straight. I played the front 9 and shot a 43 from the blue tees. I didn't start off well but parred 5,7,8,and 9 to escape at 7 over. Today I went up and played with my friend chase who is also trying out for golf. I hit the ball good today. I parred 1 which I never do. On 2 I hit a bomb of a drive to about 30 feet off the green but there was a ridge in the front of the green and a front pin so it was a tough chip. I got it decently close and barely missed my birdie putt. I didn't do as good on 4,5,and 6. I bogeyed all 3 of them. But then I parred 7 and bogeyed 8. On 9 I hit another bomb drive, a long 8 iron to the right side of the hill behind the green. I needed a perfect chip to get close but instead I bladed it and it rolled through the grass which slowed it down and I then made my 8 foot par putt. I also got my Vokey 56 degree sand wedge today which was good. I'm going up there again tomorrow and I can't wait for the coming week of golf.

Yesterday I had my playing lesson. I was hitting the ball good but I was fading my driver and Matt told me my chipping stroke was bad so I tried to change it mid round. That led to me being 8 over after 3. Then I turned it around on 13. I hit a not too bad drive into the rough, a great 7 iron to about 30 yards, and then hit my chip thin to about 35 feet. I hit such a good put. It had perfect pace and I had a great stroke. I made it for birdie. From there I went bogey or par on the remaining 6. I went back and practiced with my driver and practiced chipping. I went out on the back again. I hit my drive into the trees again but hit a great punch shot on to the green. I hit a good drive on 11 and a nearly perfect second shot. I hit it pure with a slight draw but the pin was on the left and my ball landed on a down slope so I was just off the green. My chip was short but I sank my 10 foot put for par. I parred 12 after a decent shot to about 25 feet. I started off 13 good with another drive in the rough a seven iron to about 80 yards. I don't have a sand wedge in my bag because it arrives on Saturday so I tried to punch a pitching wedge. I hit it into the creek but it luckily hit a rock and bounced to the right side of the green. I chipped It on to about 4 feet. And that is where my round went bad. I missed that 3 foot put. I did good on 14 until my uphill birdie chip only got to the fringe. I hit my drive into the trees on 15 again, punched out, and got another bogey. I pushed my drive on 16 to the best possible spot in the thick stuff. I then hooked my shot into a bunker, left my bunker shot short, left my chip short, and 2 putted for double. I bogeyed 17. I hit a good drive and second shot on 18 but I had to guess my distance because there were no yardage markers. I hit a great shot right at the flag stick but 30 feet over. I then 3 putted for bogey. Not what I would have liked. I really need to work on chipping and my driver but I know what I need to do. I just have small things to fix. The next time I blog will be about my tryouts which are on Thursday. I can't wait.

I got my clubs! They are great. My terrible shots are now mishits. I got a lesson and am getting a course one tomorrow. I was going too flat and that was also adding to my draw. Matt had me putting a club behind my feet and told me not to let the club go behind that club. It helped alot but when I got out to the course I lost it. I shot a 43 on the front and then decide to quit and practice. I saw grant and we decided to play the back. I started off par, bogey, birdie, and then went 3 over on the remaining 6. I nearly got a hole-in-one on 12. I drew it on purpose to the right side of the hole and then went right in front of the hole and landed about a foot from the hole. Then on 13 I hit my drive 280. I cant wait for tomorrow.

Today I went and practiced because I didn't have basketball practice. I was hitting it better. Still inconsistent but better. I can't wait until I get my clubs. Only 3 more days.

yesterday I got fitted for some new clubs. I was looking at the titleist AP2's but ended up with the Taylormade Burner irons. The assistant pro-matt-helped me get them and after he gave me a tip to hit more inside I was hitting the ball great. Im also going to start getting lessons from him. Today I went to Charbonneau and golfed the yellow 9. I shot 3 over but could have easily shot par which is good because that is where the try-outs are being held. I did great with my hybrid especially on the short par 3's that charbonneau has. Then we went to The club and practiced and ate more. I get my clubs on saturday and thats when I start my lessons. Im so excited.

long overdue

Last Saturday I played 16. I started off really good. I bogeyed one after I bladed my chip and to about 30 feet from the pin and 20 off the green that I nearly holed. On two I hit a great drive, perfect second shot to about 7 feet and made it for birdie. From there it went downhill. Besides 4 which I parred, I didn't get anything else. I ended up shooting a 44 on the front. It turned around on the back. My putting was good all day so on the back when I put myself in position for par I did great. Parred 10, just bogeyed 11, just missed a 20 foot birdie put on 12, parred 13, 14 15, and my last hole 16 after I hit my new Rescue club to the front of the green, chipped it close, and sank the put for par. Although I did good, Im having a problem with my draw that I have aquired. I plan to fix it next time I go up.
